LUXOTTICA'S TIFFANY EYEWEAR IS A GEM

Diane F. Drake, LDO, ABOM, FCLSA
Many of us think of Tiffany & Co. and remember the classic film, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, which starred the beautiful and sophisticated Audrey Hepburn. Even if you’re not a film buff, you know that the name Tiffany is equated with classic elegance, timeless fashion, and exquisite jewelry and accessories. Now Tiffany admirers will be able to find these qualities in their eyewear with the launch of Luxottica Group’s Tiffany Eyewear collection.

UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL
The collection is subdivided into three subsets: Crystals, Tiffany Logos, and Silver and Diamonds. Every style reflects the design characteristics of the jewelry line, staying true to the brand. In addition to the finest-quality Mazzucchelli block acetate, other materials used include monel, stainless, and titanium.
Many models are available in both ophthalmic and sunwear models and most of the ophthalmic styles are available in two sizes.

CRYSTALS
As fluid as the art form itself, the Tiffany Jazz model is available in ophthalmic and sunwear styles. The ophthalmic version is a cool metal, three-piece rimless mounting with sparkling hand-set crystals running horizontally along the hinges and temples. The sunwear model is a stunning wrap shield featuring the same design hinges and temples.
Tiffany Swing is a rectangular acetate frame with wide temples that are interpreted in a circle of hand-set crystals on the temples near the endpiece; a finely etched Tiffany & Co. logo in metal runs along the side. Tiffany Bubbles is a glamorous minimalist semi-rimless metal style that features bezel-set crystals along the temples with contrasting color tips. Tiffany Atlas has a large square metal front with acetate/metal temples.  Roman numerals identify the Atlas design and boast hand-set crystal circles in a metal medallion at the hinge.

TIFFANY LOGOS
Featuring a logo etched vertically on a slender metal plaque that forms an innovative metal hinge which reflects the year Tiffany opened, Tiffany 1837 is an acetate style with modern, softly rounded lines.
Return to Tiffany has a sterling silver oval plaque to highlight the squared acetate frame.  Available in both ophthal-mic and sunwear styles, there are five colors each. Tiffany Voile features a sheer geometric pattern of circles and lines connecting the open temples in the metal ophthalmic version.  The sunwear style is an oval metal of soft elegance and sophisticated details finished with acetate temple tips in contrasting colors. Tiffany & Co. has the classic logo on the temples of each of its two oval styles—one is a metal frame with contrasting temple tips, the other an acetate model.

SILVER AND DIAMONDS
Tiffany Lace is a modern, softly rounded acetate style; it has a sunburst design in sterling silver with a spark-ling center diamond and a Tiffany & Co. logo in metal. You’ll find this frame in both ophthalmic and sunwear options.

MARKETING MATERIALS
Point-of-purchase merchandising support is available in counter cards, plaques, risers, and a window display.
This exclusively distributed collection is all about luxury and sophistication. For those who crave the best, Tiffany is what they will be looking for. n
